Site Policy & Community Guidelines
Last updated: May 14, 2026
SkillsLib.ai is a community-driven marketplace for Claude AI skills. These guidelines exist to keep the platform safe, useful, and welcoming for everyone. All users are expected to follow these guidelines in addition to our Terms of Service.
1. Content Standards
All content on the Platform, including skill listings, descriptions, messages, reviews, and profile information, must comply with the following standards:
Allowed
- Original Claude AI skills and prompt templates
- Constructive feedback and honest reviews
- Professional communication between buyers and sellers
- Educational and instructional content
- Legitimate business and marketing skills
Not Allowed
- Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language targeting any group
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content
- Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activities
- Spam, scams, or deceptive content
- Malware, phishing, or other malicious content
- Personal information of others without their consent (doxxing)
- Content that impersonates other users or organizations
2. Messaging Rules
The messaging system is designed for meaningful communication between buyers and sellers. The following rules and limits are enforced:
- Rate limits: You may contact up to 5 unique recipients per hour. This prevents spam while allowing normal communication.
- Word limits: Individual messages are limited to 500 words. If you need to share more content, split it across multiple messages.
- Automated moderation: All messages are screened by automated content moderation. Messages that violate our content standards will be blocked before delivery.
- Prohibited: Unsolicited advertisements, off-platform transaction requests, threats, harassment, and sexually explicit content.
3. Copyright & Originality
We take intellectual property rights seriously. All skills listed on the Platform must be original work.
- Skills must be created by the seller or the seller must have explicit permission to distribute them.
- Copying or closely imitating another seller's skill is prohibited. Our automated duplicate detection system flags substantially similar listings.
- Do not include copyrighted text, code, or media from third parties without proper licensing or attribution.
- DMCA process: If you believe your copyrighted work has been used without authorization, you may file a DMCA takedown notice by contacting us with: (1) a description of the copyrighted work, (2) the URL of the infringing listing, (3) a statement of good faith belief, (4) your contact information, and (5) your physical or electronic signature. We will review and act on valid notices promptly.
4. Seller Responsibilities
Sellers play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and trust of the marketplace. As a seller, you are expected to:
- Provide accurate and honest descriptions of your skills, including what they do, their limitations, and any requirements.
- Deliver functional, working skills that match their listings.
- Respond to buyer messages in a timely manner (we recommend within 48 hours).
- Provide reasonable support to buyers who have questions about using your skills.
- Keep your skills updated if they depend on specific Claude features or APIs that may change.
5. Buyer Responsibilities
Buyers are expected to act in good faith when using the Platform:
- Leave honest and constructive reviews that accurately reflect your experience with a skill.
- Do not leave reviews designed to manipulate ratings or harm a seller's reputation (review bombing).
- All sales are final. No refunds are provided. By purchasing a skill, you acknowledge that digital goods are non-refundable. Please review the skill description, FAQ, and reviews carefully before purchasing.
- Do not redistribute, resell, or share purchased skills with others unless the seller's license explicitly permits it.
- Communicate respectfully with sellers, even when raising concerns or requesting support.
6. Enforcement
We enforce these guidelines through a graduated escalation process:
- Warning: For first-time or minor violations, you will receive a warning notification explaining the violation and how to avoid it in the future.
- Content removal: Violating content (messages, listings, reviews) may be removed without prior notice.
- Temporary suspension: Repeated violations or serious offenses may result in a temporary suspension of your account, typically lasting 7 to 30 days.
- Permanent ban: Severe violations (e.g., illegal activity, repeated harassment, distribution of malicious content) will result in permanent termination of your account with no option for reinstatement.
The severity of enforcement depends on the nature of the violation, its impact, and the user's history. We reserve the right to skip steps in this process for severe violations.
7. Reporting
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, we encourage you to report it:
- Report a skill:Use the "Report" button on any skill listing page to flag inappropriate or infringing content.
- Report a message: Use the report option in the messaging interface to flag abusive or spam messages.
- Report a user:Visit the user's profile and use the report option to flag accounts engaged in prohibited behavior.
- Contact support: For urgent matters or issues not covered by in-app reporting, contact us directly through the Platform.
All reports are reviewed by our team. We take reports seriously and will respond to valid reports as quickly as possible. Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of these guidelines.
